Five days in Berlin. Lgbtq activists from all over Europe and even from far, far Kyrgistan and Lebanon. Talking about empowerment.
These kind of events are extremely valuable as on these occasions you can hear and feel how the situation is in different countries related to lgbtq issues. It is also there that we can come together and learn from each other.
This conference was, for me, extremely important as it brought the topic of multiple discrimination back on the agenda. It is a topic that rarely is addressed and often forgotten as we, as humans, are likely to put everybody in one box and with our narrow minded thoughts don’t look out of that box. Well, actually it is not a question of looking out of a box, but making the boxes bigger and larger. Nut thanks to this conference I feel empowered to write a fucking study session application on Multiple discrimination.
